Pichamon's Project

Pichamon creates cute, fun and whimsical handmade cloth dolls, and also will create custom dolls for customers.

As I am a bunny-obsessed doll maker, most of my creatures / designs will be in bunny or bunny-inspired form. However, my work is also inspired by woodland animals, fairy tales & folklores, by fragments of text & half-remembered lines of poetry. An interest in cryptozoology, hybrid identity & children literature feeds into many of the creatures I create.

Our Solutions

First Pichamon worked closely with Natalia to choose a wonderful business name. Natalia had so many great ideas, that it was hard to choose, and she offered this helpful advice:

One tip I’d suggest as you try to decide which you’ll ultimately go with is to think about what story you want your name to tell, because each name has a different significance/story.

Pichamon ultimately decided on “Twelve Little Buttons,” which reminded her of a fairytale of twelve dancing princesses.

Sarah then got to work on some adorable bunny logos, ending up with a whimsical, textured, furry bunny with a button for a tail. Sarah shared,

Having the slightly rougher edges and sketchy outlines couples beautifully with the handwritten look of the font and this will look amazing with the little button sewn in place of the bunny’s cotton tail.

What Our Client Had to Say

I am so glad that our project has come to the finish line (despite I will surely miss all of you!). Before departing, I would like to provide testimonials to Aeolidia team who have worked hand in hand with me in this project.

Part 1: Business Naming
Working with Natalia on business naming was an absolute joy. Her creativity and knowledge was paramount. She has brought me variety of lovely names that fit to my business vision. Natalia helped me turn my thought into a name that not only reflects the view I had for my business but also holds a touch of my personal style. I was thinking of having whimsical, fairy-tale style names that can communicate fun and happiness. I love children literature so I am attracted to the names that seem to have an interesting story behind them. Natalia did not disappoint me at all.

Finally, after painful selection process, I have come to my final decision; I chose Twelve Little Buttons as my business name. Not only for the very good supporting reasons that Natalia has given me but I also think that the name will allow me to expand my business into different areas in the future. Additionally, I personally love to use buttons in my decoration and collect vintage buttons for pleasure. I also like that the name contains only simple words so it would be easy for people to pronounce and remember.

Part 2: Logo & Identity Design
After I have spent time browsing Aeolidia blog and portfolio, I have to confess that I have set a high expectation in the design part. However, Sarah has done it fabulously and definitely beyond my expectation. When she sent me the final logo and preliminary of style guide I would like to tell her that…her works are

OH-SO-PERFECT!

This is surely the LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. She made me short of word to describe how wonderful I felt when I opened the presentation. I love every details presented in the style guide. Actually, at first, I have a little concern as I am not sure that polka dot pattern would go well with the woodland theme of the rabbit or not. But Sarah had made the things mixed up beautifully. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

What I love about my logo and identity, I have to admit that I love everything in the logo and identity guide from colours to font to the rabbit and, especially, her bell flowers. Such a lovely and creative idea!
A little bit about the colours. The colours make the logo look more grown-up and gender-neutral but the flowers can keep the feel of sweet and feminine at the same time. The colour scheme also differentiates the logo from others in the same industry. The gold leaf elements on dark background version are amazing.
The rabbit. She looks independent (look at her eyes!), not follow the trend (forget about holding carrots or radish) but also playful enough to put the bell flowers on her head. These actually are characteristics of my target customers. (And, million thanks to Sarah for adding detail of furry line. It made her more real…I would like to give her a pat now!)
The polka-dot pattern – I am always in love with the polka-dot! That’s it. ^_^
Sarah has honestly been such a pleasure to work with and I am SO thankful to Aeolidia that has chosen her as my designer. I think our styles were a perfect fit.

Last but not least, I have to give you a million thanks for your patience and time to answer my question and your organisation skill that made the project gone smoothly. I would like to wish you a very best luck in everything you do. I hope that we will have an opportunity to work together again in the future. Working with Aeolidia is a total delight.
