The Challenge

Joy Laforme is a well-established illustrator with an impressive body of artwork. Between high demand from customers and collaborators, she didn’t have time to spend building a brand. Joy felt that her brand identity didn’t properly represent her polished and skillful illustrations. She came to us for help creating an inspiring brand narrative and a charming, trusted brand design.

Our Approach

We began with an in-depth brand audit and strategy consultation to uncover areas of opportunity, customer personas, brand voice, and aesthetic considerations. A carefully crafted tagline and brand identity — complete with logo, fonts, colors, graphics, and patterns — conveys the vibrant, enchanting qualities of Joy’s artwork. Our brand use guide ensures that every element is used to its maximum efficacy.

I do know it can feel like a big investment to do something like this as a small business, especially if you are on your own. I’ve tried to do this on my own in the past and nothing compares to how easy it was working with Aeolidia and how the team was able to really figure out what I needed AND what I wanted. Figuring out what I needed (beyond the ‘want’) was such a key factor in getting my branding right.
