Fernworks

Fernworks
Faryn tells us:

I started fernworks over 8-9 years ago. I create a unique line of jewelry which combines real found objects and tiny hand painted scenes into thick layers of resin. I use teeny brushes and toothpicks to create little 3-D landscapes and scenes of birds, foxes, bears, and other creatures. I also have a line in which I embed real objects in resin like moss, bones, plants, wasp nests, etc. My work is dreamy, natural, sometimes mysterious, sometimes sweet, & sometimes a little dark... People compare the work to little dioramas, reliquaries, or little "scientific specimens."

Little Luxuries of Mackinac Island

Little Luxuries of Mackinac Island
Little Luxuries of Mackinac Island is a very unique gift shop - the location itself is unique as we live on a beautiful island where automobiles are prohibited. Our packages are delivered daily by horse and carriage and we get to and from work by bicycle. Downtown is a historical downtown and the Grand Hotel is located on the island as well, a gorgeous, historical hotel. Now as for my own shop, I try to keep it as unique as possible. I support Michigan-made artists, handmade, and I carry luxury gifts such as bath and body, baby gifts, pretty paper, handmade and vintage jewelry, kitchen and home décor.

Robert Mahar

Robert Mahar
Robert Mahar was one of my very first clients, back in 2005, and I was overjoyed to be able to sharpen up his professional crafting identity.

Robert says: "I like to tell people that I'm a fella who is craft driven, design inspired, vintage obsessed and cake possessed. Professionals are being brought in to exorcise the cake situation, but all of those other descriptors are running rampant. I'm an arts and crafts professional with an education in studio arts and art history who has been fortunate to work in creative fields all of my life – from appraiser of modern and contemporary art for 13 years to web video producer. I now produce and present on-camera DIY tutorials for the YouTube audience, inspiring people to tackle creative projects in the lifestyle arena (home, office, family, entertaining, holiday)."

Carte Blanche Yoga

Carte Blanche Yoga
My company is unique in that it provides a service like none other in Atlanta. I provide a yoga experience for my clients that begins and ends with the zen that all they have to do is just wake up and put clothes on, no travel is needed because I come to them. Using a lot of restorative techniques, we softly enter our sessions with some meditation and aromatherapy. After a warm up flow, we move into more physically challenging postures, pausing for some inner peace with the eyes closed and more aromatherapy. Finally sessions end with props supporting my clients in restorative, gentle poses and more aromatherapy. Throughout the practice, I am constantly manipulating their bodies through adjustments and short bouts of massage.

"As soon as I started my project with Aeolidia, I knew I was in good hands. Not only did the company have experience working with the same kinds of artisans and small businesses that I wanted to include on my website, but everyone on the team was so incredibly professional, responsive and organized. Every question, concern or request that I had, no matter how small or large, was addressed quickly. I loved that I knew exactly where things were with the project at any given time and what was expected of me. Christine and Shoshanna worked to create something beautiful and functional that ended up exceeding all my expectations.

I also can't say enough about how helpful my mojo sessions with Jena were. In the beginning, I was a little skeptical that they were necessary, but I soon realized that the suggestions she had for promoting and growing my site were invaluable. I know I still have a lot to learn, but she gave me a great foundation. And considering how much continuing education costs these days, it was actually a bargain!

Aeolidia is such a great company, with super-nice people, and I feel so fortunate to have been able to work with them."

"I had an amazingly wonderful experience working with the Aeolidia team! They really listened to the vision I had in mind for my site and then took my ideas and pushed them to the next level. They are truly experts in all the facets that go into building a site and very well organized. I really appreciated their attention to the details and their patience with me as I tried to keep up with all of the new information and decisions that had to be made."

"Aeolidia did an amazing job on my website re-design! I really appreciate the very thorough list of questions asked before the work even began. There were many things I hadn't considered, and wouldn't have known to ask about without this. My only regret is that I didn't think about SEO during the design process and I'm now going back to figure out where i can do things differently to gain more organic traffic.

Overall, the website turned out even better than I hoped for - from Julie's beautifully styled shots, to Lauren & Shalon's designs, and the way Chris made everything work as it should. Best of all, the site is easy to maintain. After two years struggling with Magento, this is my favorite part."

"Eva, Jon and the entire Aeolidia gang were wonderful to work with. I have a limited knowledge of how a website works and they were there to hold my hand the entire way. I always felt taken care of and appreciated. It was a lovely experience overall."

"After 5 years of experiencing an evolving business, it became apparent that we'd outgrown our website. I wanted a site that really signified who we are as a company and at the same time offer features that catalog our past, highlight our present and reflect our future. I feel like Aeolidia helped me achieve all my goals. Christine really seemed to understand me and delivered a beautiful, clean and modern design. Shoshanna was a veritable miracle worker in making things happen the way I wanted them to. I very much loved the collaborative and friendly atmosphere. I felt that both my desires and needs were met beautifully and the response to our efforts has been really well received- what else could I ask for?"

-- Michelle Engel Bencsko

Etch Design Lab

Etch Design Lab

"Etch is a collaboration between an artist and an interior designer, and we both worried that we'd have a hard time leaving the designing of our web identity and brand to someone we didn't even know. But, we knew how important it was to call in the professionals, since it wasn't within our area of expertise, and we really hoped that our website would "wow" potential clients. Even so, we both had a LOT of hopes and dreams for our branding, given in extreme detail! We are still in awe of how Lauren and Margot were able to translate our conversations into something that feels so close to us, that it's as if the logo and website have always been ours. That's an amazingly exciting thing."

-- Katherine Sable

Abigail Stewart

Abigail Stewart
My company offers fine art portrait photography for newborns, babies and children applied in different settings using various props to complement the image. The newborn and baby work is more studio based, I only work with natural light. With older children, I am more location based using a picturesque natural setting. I strive to make each photo a work of art, I work hard to find the best light and I spend a lot of time perfecting the images in photoshop to ensure the focus of the image represents the emotion and feeling of what I saw behind the lens so that the result is more like a piece of art than just a photograph. My aim is that my images have a timeless feel about them and that the viewer finds something new each time they look at it. I prefer to use natural looking props with my newborns and babies such as old trunks, baskets, crates and beautiful knits and blankets in subtle natural tones so as not to take the eye away from the child. My work tries to capture the unique essence of the child such as the innocence in that moment.

Stargrass Paper Co.

Stargrass Paper Co.

"I wanted to let you know that working with your team was really wonderful. Creating the website was a bit harder than I thought with a day job that got quite busy during the middle of the site development, but Margot and Zak did a great job of keeping me on track (as best they could) even when I was falling behind again and again.

Even more important, they were able to take my ideas and questions and build the site I couldn't even quite picture at the beginning. And the logo is just amazing. I knew it was awesome when I handed out business cards at the National Stationery Show and my favorite designers were giving me compliments! Really pleased and look forward to launching my site (as soon as I can get all of my content up)."

-- Alexandria Drohobyczer

The Flair Exchange

The Flair Exchange

"Since working with the Aeolidia team, my business has experienced a much more proficient work day. I reached out to Aeolidia to create a website that allowed my customers to create custom products & preview them prior to purchasing ( which Zak and the Aeolidia team pulled off flawlessly ), but what I got was a much more cohesive website & visual representation of what The Flair Exchange offers. Having worked with several graphic designers in the past, I initially dreaded the thought of going through a logo redesign. It had always seemed impossible to explain what I wanted. Meg, however was a dream to work with and kept the process concise. The Aeolidia team is incredibly organized and quick to respond to any concerns. While this was a substantial financial investment, it was worth every single penny. Samantha, Meg & Zak are rock stars in our eyes!"

-- Carmen Taylor Rogge

"Thanks so much Christine! The website is beautiful! I also ran into a gal last night who is a well known surface designer/graphic designer who told me she LOVED my new logo. I said 'just wait 'til you see the new site!'"

Noisy Dog Studio

Noisy Dog Studio
It's always a delight when we get to work with a client for so long, and this was Leigh's third (and best, for sure!) Aeolidia site design.

Lauren designed a contemporary new site for her, to reflect the growth and change in Leigh's painting style.

Emily Ley

Emily Ley

"My experience with Aeolidia really blew me away. Each step of the process was seamless and left me SO excited. Their ability to take my vision for my brand’s new web presence and translate them into gorgeous websites, above and beyond what I dreamed, was incredible.

One of the most impressive aspects of my experience with Aeolidia was the transparency of the process. I knew, on any given day, exactly where my project stood – what they needed from me, when I’d be receiving updates from them, etc. That commitment to making sure my experience was full of excitement and NO worry really underscores the professionalism Aeolidia is dedicated to.

Not only are they super organized, they’re just plain nice : ) They listened to my big ideas, answered all of my little questions and brought my vision to life beautifully. Moving forward, I’m so excited to have a web-partner that my brand can grow and change with. High fives and a big thank you to Aeolidia!"

Libby Lane Press

Libby Lane Press

"Well to say I am excited is pretty much the understatement of the year! I had analyzed, over-analyzed, and just about drove myself mad deciding whether to take this leap of faith with a custom e-commerce shop for Libby Lane Press and I am thrilled with my decision.

Aeolidia was a professional and skilled team that went above and beyond to ensure that the custom Shopify shop I envisioned for my business was created to not only meet my expectations, but exceed them. Arianne, Samantha, Jon and Christine displayed their expertise through every step of the process. I highly recommend Aeolidia and cannot wait to work with them again in the future."

-- Nicolle Spitulnik

Sycamore Street Press

Sycamore Street Press
Eva of Sycamore Street Press and her designer, Christine, had such a great rapport. About the design, Christine said:

"While designing the website, I kept in mind your desire for a clean, beautiful, easy-to-navigate website. Inspired by your wonderful (his)story and work ethic, I created a homepage that is both warm and inviting but also clear and simple, which I think speaks to the quality of your products."

Pippin Vintage Jewelry

Pippin Vintage Jewelry
Eva designed a vintage, eclectic, and whimsical shop website for Pippin Vintage Jewelry

Miri Tee

Miri Tee
Liz designed a fun logo for Miri, and Lauren designed the website.

Miri told us: "Miri tee is a boutique online store which will sell a unique collection of handpicked products. They are quirky, fun and affordable. I am starting off focusing on children but am hoping to expand so don't want to be to tied down with any child like logos etc. I have been a stylist for 15 years. I want the site to be cool, simple and easy to use but quirky too. I like to laugh and not that I want the website to make me laugh but don't want it to be boring!"

JJ Caprices

JJ Caprices
Jen brought us a logo which was a bit too stiff and formal for her brand, so Melissa loosened it up with some elegant, feminine illustrations, and carried the adjusted style on over to print work, such as hang tags, packaging, letterhead, and more.

Shalon created a website that celebrates wandering, with a simple mobile theme for visitors on smartphones.
