"At Gifts Define, “do our very best” is not a mission, it’s a statement! I truly love what I do and am obsessed in making my clients happy with the creations I make! When the time came to improve Gifts Define’s e-commerce website functionality, design and branding, I was completely overwhelmed! Did tons of research, I realized there are so many web design companies out there to choose from! Sometimes the thought of not being able to find the one who would understand the visions and aspirations of my creative company – is wearisome!
Then I thought of Arianne at Aeolidia. I first heard about Aeolidia back in 2006 when I was looking for a web designer to create my first website. Although then, she was not available to take on my project. Now, 7 years later, still trusting my initial judgment; I decided to contact Arianne once again and convinced that Aeolidia was the right company to take on this momentous project of mine!
What a decision well-made! My belief is when you expect the best, work with the absolute best! Arianne is very attentive in keeping my project ahead. There were some minor glitches in the beginning of the design process but she handled things promptly and professionally! Moreover, working closely with Lauren, Jon, Jena and Dewi have been delightful! I wish I could have the brains of these individuals in mine! Very organized, super creative, resourceful and simply brilliant in what they do!
I want to extend my big thanks to Arianne and team Aeolidia for making my dream website come true! Thank you for your endless patience in listening and understanding my ideas while thoughtfully bring them into realizations. After 5 months of dedication, commitment and enthusiasm from the Aeolidia’s team, I never thought that I’d be so pleased and proud to have a fabulous website to represent Gifts Define in front of millions…. Thank you!"

Jena worked with Elizabeth on a playful new business name, and then Liz got to work on a logo that expressed the exuberance and charm that Elizabeth was looking for. Lauren worked meticulously on the website design, and we're just thrilled with the results.
We have been pretty old school up until now, and a little for everyone at the moment. Not exactly super niche, we do supply those with less popular crafts.
I would like our customers to view us and our website as informative, easy to use/convenient, clear and robust. I would like the site to help us keep our customers engaged and informed and add convenience to their shopping with us."

"Awesome communication, totally impressed with how all of you were so professional. It was a pleasure working with you guys."
-- Akiko Giometti
"What a wonderful experience it has been for us to work together with such a creative, competent, organized, passionate and professional team! Looking back over the last couple of months THE BEST decision we made was to appoint Aeolidia with the task of turning our vision & dreams into a reality. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for absolutely everything, we could not be prouder of elephantshoe.com.
Thank you for listening to every tiny detail and making the changes large and small to get the site 100% perfect. We so hope to work more with you in the near and far future. We will be sure to recommend you to others! "

"Enchanted Leaves is a jewelry company I started in 2002 as a hobby while I was a college student. It all started with the electroplated leaves(where I got the business name from!). I married my husband in 2009, and he officially became part of the business! He brought his skill of soldering and innovative thinking to help me design some of our best selling pieces. Over the years my business has grown into an awesome business that I was able to quit my day job to work on full time!
The things we offer are cute and unique jewelry that are nature and geeky themed :) Leaves, acorns, animals and insects, cute miniature objects, and our “geekery”- items inspired by literature, movies, music, and TV shows (my Lord of the Rings/the Hobbit and Harry Potter inspired designs have been a HUGE success)."
"During my tenure at Penland I made a series of large scale drawings. In my previous (college / art school) experience, we were encouraged to "think outside the frame" so I got used to pinning pieces to the wall or pursuing some alternative means to display my work.
Every time I had the drawings critiqued by visiting artists or peers, the person giving the critique would encourage me to seek a framer. I resisted (I guess I thought that was a boring solution) and when I gave in my drawings suddenly looked legitimate. It was like seeing them in formal wear! They looked so tight and so professional.
Essentially seeing my jewelry in the context of the new website is just like seeing my drawings framed. Wow! Mind you, I used a great framer then and obviously the best web designers this go round!
The other thing that happened when I framed these drawings is that they sold! I am hoping that the website will give further legitimacy to my business (resulting in sales) in addition to providing a nice home for my jewelry."

Started from the simple idea to support and promote independent designers producing handmade, authentically sustainable, craft + design objects. We curate a carefully edited collection items for your home and life. We support artisans who hand-make their items in small-batch runs. It’s kinder on the environment and we love the beauty of perfectly imperfect objects made by hand and made to last.
We always look for high-quality craftsmanship, durability, simplicity of function and design aesthetic in the goods we source. We support designers using traditional craft methods in inspiring ways to create functional objects for everyday use that connect us to each other and bring beauty into our homes.
Organic Cotton Plus
- Make our site much more aesthetically pleasing to our customers.
- Make the back-end easier for us.
- Move them to a more stable software platform to grow on.
Melissa designed the logo and illustrations, and Lauren created the site design. We ordinarily work with designers and creatives who want a lot of input into the process, but for this project we were given free rein for design decisions, coming up with a polished and professional look that is also fun and appealing to their target audience.
They want the site to reflect the new aesthetic of Manos del Uruguay yarns, so we used their logo and bright, bold colors to make something outstanding.
Teresa wanted customers to get the sense that the clothes were made for their curvy bodies and that it will be comfortable clothing that they don 't have to have a guilty conscience about purchasing.
Margot designed this site, and Zak developed it using Shopify.

"It was a delight to work with Aeolidia! From the start it was so nice to work with a company that understood our style, demographic and our mission. We had seen all the amazing sites that they had already worked on so it was easy to get started and know that they would come up with something amazing.
The process was incredibly helpful for us. Aeolidia gave us the tools we needed to really think through what we needed in a website.
I really appreciated that there was a very structured timeline and we knew what we needed to get them and when. The process was broken down into bite sized pieces with very clear goals for each step. It was so exciting to see each piece come together. We couldn 't be happier with the result!
Thanks again - we are simply delighted with the site and truthfully we expected nothing less from such an amazing group of folks!"

"I just wanted to say thank you so much. It was a pleasure working with you and your team and you made the whole experience very enjoyable. Despite me not having had much time to get involved / prepare images etc, you made it very smooth and easy for me and I love my new site!"

“My goal is to have a cohesive, professional, beautifully designed “home” online that represents me as both a business entity and a person. Visitors will be able to see exactly what I’m about and what my business is about, and my site will reflect the level of professionalism I offer to everyone I work with (in other words, I’ll look like I have my shit together.) Right now, I’m kind of all over the place, and in doing so, I’m breaking the #1 rule of building a brand.”
Done and done! Meg and Brad worked on this one together. Shoshanna coded it up in WordPress using Woocommerce. Emily was super fun to work with, of course.
Queen Bee Creations
The challenge for this project was to bring Rebecca's three lines together seamlessly, while exposing fans of her classic Queen Bee line to her other projects, Chickpea Baby, and Rebecca Pearcy textiles.
The new site makes everything cohesive, with larger photos throughout, and new ways to feature all that Queen Bee does.
"I needed a coherent and professional 'shop window' on the internet. Paying other people with the right experience to do it for me made me interrogate my brand and ask questions of myself which would not have happened if I had attempted to do it all.
I now have an online presence which I am really proud of and can link back to in a million ways be it online, through social media or face to face. The ability to close the sale at the last step of the journey with an e-commerce site is the icing on the cake.
I now look and feel like a professional who means business and the site has actually made me approach my entire brand with a different head on. I'm now more confident in my business and its future than I have ever been.
I wanted to swoop in and say a huge thank you to all of you for helping to make my brand and website beyond my wildest dreams - brilliant. Thank you all for your patience, thousands of miles and thousands of seconds time difference can be challenging but you made it feel like we were in the same room - (although not so close that I could see you tutting and rolling your eyes - which I guess maybe happened now and again?!) ha ha. I am over the moon."

"Our previous website is 8 years old! It was the first and only Rare Device website, the one that Rena and Arianne worked on together when Rare Device first opened in 2005. Having said that, the fact that it lasted 8 years and was still useful to us speaks volumes about how well-made it was. When I decided that it was time to have a new website, I thought that it was a great opportunity to create a new logo as well. I wanted our new logo to be clean, modern, but fun, which is what Rare Device is all about.
The team at Aeolidia have been spectacular, starting with our designer, Meg Lewis, who captured my vision so vividly. Meg also designed our new logo, which I just love! From the moment Meg showed me the initial logo concepts, I knew we were in great hands. Our developer, Zoe Rooney, brought Meg's designs to life and was very patient and comforting as we went through some issues that were all eventually resolved. "

"I could not be more thrilled with my experience working with Aeolidia -- my site was completely tailored to my ecommerce needs and is absolutely wonderful.
We have received dozens of comments on how easy the new site is to use, and how gorgeous it looks.
Our wholesale requests tripled since the launch of the site, and we are definitely sending the vibe that we are a high end brand!"

Oh My! Handmade Goodness
"I first found Aeolidia in 2009 when they designed the Bamboletta dolls website and I fell in love. I followed everything they came out with after that and I bought OMHG in 2010 partly because I saw Arianne on the contributor list and I wanted a chance to connect with her! When it became really clear our site had outgrown its beginnings as a blog and had become a community I started planning to have it redesigned and only Aeolidia would do. Our community had been looking for ways to connect more but the old site was hard to use, crashing regularly, loading slowly, and generally buggy. It was a pain to manage all our contributors and our traffic had become too high for our little old site. So I saved the profits from advertising and digital products to invest in our rebrand and redesign. It took almost two years of saving, planning, and brainstorming ideas but in October 2012 we got started with a grand plan to transform OMHG into the first online community centre for creative entrepreneurs!
Ashley and Joel of This Paper Ship got us started by creating the new OMHG logo and illustrations that represent our diverse community. I wanted our branding to be friendly, welcoming, quirky and creative-they nailed it and their designs influenced the rest of the site. Then the brilliant Lauren Hardage went to work on the site design and blew me away with her eye for detail and usability. I have never worked with anyone who could so clearly and quickly capture the essence of an idea visually, almost every one of her mock ups was used as is with little to no revisions. I was sad when the designs were done and I didn't get the excitement of a new mock up in my inbox anymore!
The truly magical part for me was getting to work with developer Zoe Rooney, who has been an OMHG contributor and friend from the beginning. Without Zoe this site would never have happened, she helped me with all the initial brainstorming and ideas for what the community would benefit from most. Her understanding of systems and Wordpress transformed vague thoughts of how a site with a private community, marketplace, contributor forums and online classes could work into a site that does absolutely everything I imagined. Building the new site was a long collaborative process but throughout it all the Aeolidia team made it easy, fun, and captured the spirit of our community perfectly. The new OMHG is functional, beautiful, and has made going to work every day so fun! Our community is loving it, new collaborations are starting daily, our sales have tripled, and our traffic is soaring! When your website is your business having one that fits perfectly is the best possible investment. I am so thankful to Aeolidia for handcrafting a website for our community and a home for all my creative dreams!"

Little Room of Style
"Whenever I am “Over The Moon Happy” I love to share; and I love to give gratitude to all the people teaching me and fueling my passion. Learning more about blogging has been such a surprise. I honestly did not know there was so much to learn. And, I didn’t know how much learning about blogging would light my inner creative fire. Each day I learn something new and crave to learn more.
Initially, my first step was to begin the journey of finding just the “right” web designer and illustrator to create my blog. After hours of research, I came upon Aeolidia. My attraction to Arianne was immediate. The first class service and über talented team, oozing a sense of class, sealed the deal. I encourage anyone sincerely learning about blogging and wanting creative people who know how to keep everything moving forward to check out Aeolidia. They are consistently providing wonderful tips on their blog.
My experience with Aeolidia was a wonderful journey of discovery. My team of creative experts led me to my dream site, my little room of style. I cannot say thank you enough for the first class service! I look forward to more projects with Aeolidia!"

Was it worth spending the money?
"Having Aeolidia work on our website was one of the best decisions we've made for the growing of our little company! Having all the features we wanted, budget-wise, was a real stretch for us as a small business just under a year old. We were working towards a good turnover but felt like we were hitting a ceiling because our old website that we'd built ourselves was not effective in attracting the caliber of clients we wanted to work with, nor could it have dealt with the volume we wanted to bring in.
Even though it was a real stretch for our business, we took a leap knowing that we could really reap what we invest in, and more. We are so pleased with the finished result of our integrated site, with full customisation options and ecommerce functions which enables us to concentrate more on growing the business (such as designing new products and marketing) instead of doing repetitive donkey work such as quotations, inventory, etc.
Besides Aeolidia's wealth of knowledge and expertise in working in growing small businesses like ours, their customer service was just amazing and Arianne and her team really knew how to win over the hearts of her clients. At every step we knew that we were taken care of and were always delivered a product beyond our expectations. Though it was a stretch in the beginning, once the project was underway, we totally knew that it was money well spent."
Are you seeing changes in customer engagement now, and/or more purchases?
"We are seeing an increase in sales, and also an increase in interest from the media. Because of the integrated customisation functions, we are able to add products quicker and in a more systematic way, which means that we can turn the ideas in our heads into reality a lot quicker than before!"
Does a professional-looking website ease your interactions with other businesses (wholesalers, service providers, etc.)?
"We are currently working towards getting wholesale set up, however since the new site went live we've already had a few enquiries regarding selling in bulk!"
-- Erin Hung
"Our small business was in desperate need of a website overhaul. I was completely overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. I wanted a simple, informational site that emphasized our strong design sense and the quality of our letterpress printing. Deciding to work with Aeolidia was the best decision I could have made. They are a well-organized, efficient, tremendously helpful, and kind group of professionals ready to accommodate your needs while guiding you in the right direction. Their straightforward, methodical approach turned something that was once mystical and scary into an exciting and fun experience. What a relief! I couldn't be happier!"
