We are usually able to solve most client problems when creating a new website for them: from setting up wholesale methods to selling customizable products to showcasing unique product types.
However, there was one place where our solutions were falling short, and that is for our clients with both a brick-and-mortar shop and an ecommerce shop. In a perfect world, when someone purchases something from your shop, that item will instantly be removed from inventory so it can’t also be purchased on the website.
Keeping inventory synced requires a point of sale (POS) system, and most POS systems don’t sync well with most good ecommerce systems. Some POS systems come with their own included ecommerce solution, but these are …not good, let’s just say.
Shopify recently announced the new Shopify POS that appears to solve all of the problems that we’ve heard from our clients!
- Manage all aspects of your business from one dashboard (an easy-to-use iPad app)
- Mobile credit card processing (for craft shows, trunk shows, pop-up shops, etc.)
- Analytics & reporting
- Email receipts for your customers
You can also use the new Shopify Payments to easily accept credit card payments without dealing with a third-party payment gateway.
If this news is juicy enough for you to consider switching to Shopify (here are a few more reasons) to take advantage, please contact me! I’d love to help out.
