Creating a Robust Collection Page for your Unique Products

by Christine Castro Hughes

October 9, 2024
little notes collection page for E. Frances Paper

Your unique products deserve a stage as stand-out as the products themselves. That was the case for paper goods company E. Frances Paper and their brilliant, signature product Little Notes®.

Our team quickly learned that there was more to these 3.5×2 inch cards than meets the eye. The tiny note cards are used as gift tags, place cards, bookmarks, and lunch notes, and over 40 million cards have been shared worldwide. It was a clear priority of our custom website project to create a dedicated spot for these beloved and popular note cards.

We designed and built a custom collections page that highlights the special features of the Little Notes®, invites quick and easy purchases, and doubles as an ad landing page—all while infusing delightful details into the design.

The custom collections page features include:

Custom Hero with Hot Spots

The hero image performs double duty with shoppable hot spots. Any Little Notes® or accessories featured in the editorial photographs can be marked with a graphic dot that clicks through to the product detail page. This makes it a cinch for customers to find the products that pique their interest.

Introduction with Illustrated Benefit Icons

The collection description is short, sweet, and SEO optimized, and it’s paired with adorable hand-drawn icons that illustrate the Little Notes® features. Together with the hero, this information sits above the fold on desktop computers, which gives a fantastic, and quick, first impression.

Callout Content

We created additional content areas throughout the page for the E. Frances Paper team to add more storytelling, education, and social proof to boost sales. As the customers scroll down the page, they are met with:

A callout featuring a lifestyle image and accompanying copy. Here, it features the Frannie Pack carrying case. If not for this larger photo, customers might otherwise miss this accessory designed especially to hold Little Notes®.

A gallery of customer submitted photos, showing how each uses the product. This social proof helps prospective buyers imagine the product in their own lives. The included hashtag invites more customer participation.

A customer reviews highlight with a link to read even more glowing praise. Customer testimonials speak volumes and drive sales.

Feature-Packed Product Listings

Each product listing includes a second image when you hover over it, allowing customers to see another view of each Little Note design, as well as an Add to Cart link, so that customers can add the product to their shopping bags without having to visit the product detail page. Also, illustrated badges highlight products that are new or on sale.

Mobile-friendly Layout

According to stats, over half of the customers shop on their phones, so the mobile user experience was also optimized every step of the way.
