The Challenge

Giftbar is a pop-culture obsessed shop in New Jersey with a range of gifts for everyone on your list, including yourself. They wanted a new logo design for a brick and mortar gift shop that was fun and colorful, without feeling unsophisticated. Customers rave about the joys of being inside their store, but their logo, branding, store signs, and gift bags did not reflect that feeling.

Our Approach

We wanted to create a joyful and fun experience that people are excited to come back to time and time again. This look was brought to life with a rainbow color theme, hand-drawn logo with groovy lines, and illustrated accents that recall emoji in a new, fresh way. By keeping the rainbow pastel and balancing the colors with black and white elements, we kept the brand looking clean and professional while not reading overly juvenile.

Giftbar’s new logo features bold and graphic type with a pastel rainbow color theme that keeps it playful and soft. The unique hand drawn letters bring an original groovy vibe that nods to the 70s while still having contemporary appeal. Each letter has a unique quality, and the wiggly ‘I’ adds a little flair that brings that extra dose of fun. This branding was a much-needed evolution for Giftbar to showcase the spirit of their wonderful shop.
