Creating a streamlined purchasing process for a skincare brand.

The Challenge

Leslie sold her line of natural skincare products through Etsy, a few wholesale accounts, and at local farmer’s markets. While this initial approach allowed her to develop a proof of concept and gradually ease into making larger product batches, she knew she needed to grow online sales in order to grow the business. Her original WooCommerce site gave her a lack of control, from the look of her newsletter signup to the difficulty of downloading a simple report. She didn’t enjoy using her website, so she avoided updating it, which wasn’t great for business.

Our Approach

Leslie needed a new website that would help differentiate her line of natural skincare products. We began by honing a brand strategy for Pure Luxe, then writing new product descriptions that included buyer testimonials to help make up for the fact that online customers cannot smell, feel, or try products. To improve site usability, we reconfigured the website’s main navigation, dividing products into more intuitive categories. We also designed a blog so Leslie could continue to communicate her unique value by writing posts about her process and ingredients.

Processing orders is so much easier – I appreciate the ease and consistency. Adding products and images is a breeze. I’m glad to have a Stockists page and place to include upcoming market dates.
