Since most of Sister Golden’s website traffic comes through on mobile devices, a mobile-first design approach was critical. This means that the new website’s functionality and layout was planned to ensure a successful user experience on mobile primarily, with the design then adapted to a desktop layout.
After the new site launched, the mobile conversion rate was 17% higher. This is especially important because almost 84% of the traffic is from users on mobile devices.
Part of our work in creating a seamless brand experience on the website was to ensure that all graphics and external apps match Sister Golden’s fonts and colors. This included styling maps as well as apps and widgets integrated into the site.
These touches seem to be resonating with customers, because stats show the visitor engagement being much improved: people are staying on the site longer, viewing more pages per session, and the bounce rate (people leaving after viewing just one page) is lower.
My experience working with Aeolidia was streamlined, totally professional, and fun! Before hiring the Aeolidia team to create a custom website for us, we had done all of the work on our website ourselves. It was a big deal to hire a third party to help us and it turned out to be a very worthwhile investment! Personally, the design phase was my favorite. There are so many small details throughout the site that work together to give a very on-brand, special experience for the shopper. We’re excited to see how the new site continues to improve our KPI’s!
