She needed a logo and branding that will make people want to pay a premium for the experience of being warm and sheltered under a handmade quilt.
She wanted something simple, clean, and minimal—something that feels handmade but still elegant.
Aeolidia to the rescue!
For Daisy’s logo, Jess was inspired to create an icon inspired by her craft and her life in Norway. After exploring all sorts of cozy inspired icons, she kept coming back to the cabin shape. It brings up so many of the visuals that Daisy hoped to express in her brand—the feeling of being wrapped up in a quilt inside, the importance of home and family, and Daisy’s own personal connection to their cabin in the woods!The icon design was inspired by quilt stitching to create a modern clean icon that is also a bit reminiscent of a vintage etching.
The geometric icon is paired with a modern and sophisticated san-serif, which should will be familiar to the Scandinavian target audience and aspirational for an international customer base.
Jess included two patterns that have a lovely minimal feel. Since Daisy’s quilts are so graphic, she wanted to create more subtle patterns that could complement the branding in ways that would not draw attention away from the unique and colorful quilt patterns.
