Aeolidia to the rescue!
Husband-and-wife team Damian and Jenn Liddiard had seen great business growth over the last two years, but much of it came from in person craft shows which they found to be lucrative but exhausting. Their old website was basically a placeholder that drove traffic to their Etsy shop, with a wholesale portion that allowed retailers to shop and place orders online.
They came to us ready for a complete brand overhaul and new Shopify website, so that they could focus more of their energy on online sales which they knew had a much better ROI for their business. They’d already had a lot of success with personalized men’s gifts and groomsmen gifts, and they wanted to continue to grow that portion of their business.
Aeolidia to the rescue!
Our team worked with Damian and Jenn to rename and rebrand their business. Jess designed a logo, brand marks, graphic elements, business cards, and packaging insert cards that reflect the level of craftsmanship and design that they bring to their laser cut wood jewelry and accessories.
With Treeline & Tide, Jenn and her husband aim to combine materials in ways that haven’t been done before, and we wanted their new branding and website to reflect their product design sensibility. They also offer outstanding customer service and personalization services for many of their products, so we worked with them to create an e-commerce website where customers can choose personalized options to create something meaningful and unique for life’s special moments. The result is a user-friendly, beautifully designed lifestyle brand and website.
For their new brand, designer Jess was inspired to create a clean, typography-centric logo that hinted at their past and stayed true to their design style while offering a professional and unique look for their business moving forward.
The diagonal lines were inspired by their intricate laser cut work and also meant to represent tree branches. The curve on the ampersand evokes an ocean swell and is a nice balance to the geometric lettering.
In addition to the typographic logo, Jess created a logo mark that features a geometric tree in front of a mountain and the ocean in a minimal and graphic way. This clean design represents the couple’s love of nature and will appeal to their outdoor-loving target audience.
Jess created an identity system that fits in seamlessly with their beautiful current products, while also bringing forth a new and exciting look as they launch their new name, website, and business direction.
Quick Brand Guide
One of Jenn’s goals for their new website was to double their previous year’s sales over the course of the next year. While she wanted to increase the number of visitors looking for wedding items, she also wanted to ensure that the new online shop was optimized to convert visitors into customers.
Their new Shopify store features product reviews, product upsells and add ons, gorgeous hero images, and an entire section of custom products to entice customers with easy personalization options for custom bridal party gifts and wedding favors.
At Treeline + Tide, we’re inspired by the harmony of the unexpected. We combine natural materials with modern design to create wood jewelry, accessories, and home goods that can be used every day. With personalization options, we can make each item uniquely yours.
Based in Scituate, MA, we are a husband-and-wife team working to infuse mindfulness and meaning into every gift we make.

We’re Damian and Jenn Liddiard, the creative minds and hands behind Treeline & Tide. With a background in architecture (him) and graphic design (her), we are a husband-and-wife team driven to create everyday goods that are both innovative and timeless. Beginning with hand-drawn designs and using sustainably-forested wood, our process fuses traditional craft techniques with technology.
We’re designers first, so we immerse ourselves in a product’s every little detail. We create each item envisioning it as a gift in everyday life—whether it’s for an anniversary, a thank you for your groomsmen or bridesmaids, or simply something special for you. To continue this cycle of giving, we partner with One Tree Planted to support reforestation—one tree is planted for every product sold.
Family is at the heart of our business. We’ve been designing together since we first met, but it wasn’t until 2012, when Jenn began making jewelry part-time at a fabrication lab, that our creative partnership started growing into a business. It was a gradual process; Jenn left her job in order spend time with our family and commit to her creative passion full-heartedly. Within a few years’ time, Damian was able to leave his job as well. Today, Treeline & Tide is a natural extension of how we’ve always lived; working and creating together in our home studio.
We find inspiration in nature and walks around our seaside town. In the contrast of worn wood against smooth rocks and the precise, calculated beauty of modern architecture. In the oddities of a rusted gate or the unnoticed pattern of a storm drain.
We explore every idea with unbridled curiosity. More often than not, this takes us in new and opposite directions—mountain and sea, treeline and tide. We embrace these dualities because they keep life ever-interesting.
When our Web Analyst Helen Hulskamp checked in on Treeline & Tide 6 months after the launch of their new Shopify website, she was pleased with the results.
The new site was already doing an above-average job of converting new visitors and a spectacular job of converting return visitors. Treeline & Tide’s conversion rate is well above average, and their site is getting a lot of high quality traffic from social media and organic search engines like Google.
When we asked Jenn Liddiard what else was working well for them, she told us: “Well, we didn’t have a website up before this, so that is a big improvement! Personalization has been really easy and clear. It’s nice to have everything come in correctly with the order without needing to go back and forth with a buyer to figure out custom details.”
