Aeolidia to the rescue!
Chinku had a brand new business and knew she needed a memorable brand. Chinku told us, “after futzing and trying to do my own website and cutting corners the last time round, I want to do it right this time.”
Aeolidia to the rescue!
While putting together the logo, Christine kept thinking about the target customer’s colorful style and youthful spirit. She kept in mind how she buys with intention and purpose. She imagined her wandering around Anthroplogie or West Elm, picking up a print or a candle for her apartment or for a friend. And Christine envisioned branding that might catch her eye, zeroing in on fresh and feminine type paired with painterly and illustrative elements. The logo is youthful and bright, clean and professional.
What Our Client Had to Say
If you are looking to build a business, your website is a key player in the game. After looking at many creative websites I, hands down, knew I wanted Aeolidia to be my design house! I initially worked intensively with Caroline to hone in on my concept after which Natalia was helpful in coming up with a bunch of names for me – the process really made me push the envelope and start thinking outside the box.
Christine was fantastic with the design concept for my logo and print materials. She understood my vision right from the start and working with her was a breeze! If there is anyone out there who is contemplating using Aeolidia, I can tell you from the bottom of my heart you will not be disappointed! They are meticulous, on time and their attention to detail is superior.
The wordmark is made up of a single typeface in all lowercase letters. With the sweet, unique, made-up moniker, the best approach was to keep the word mark extremely simple and legible. This ensures that new customers quickly get it, and that brand recognition grows.
The wordmark stands strong on its own, and it works well with the variety of typefaces that Chinku uses in her products—a huge consideration for her extensive and growing catalog.
Above the wordmark is a simple seagull icon, inspired by the “sea” in Mocsea. A bird taking flight felt appropriate for the brand—the bird itself is graceful and determined. It also connotes travel, which works well for Chinku’s mission to help girls and women abroad. For the brand mark, the seagull is paired with the sun. There is a feeling of intention and purpose, with a clear appreciation for beauty. Much like Chinku’s products!
