Rare Device

Web Design: Our client

Rare Device was running as a successful databased shop, but without all of the features you can get with third party ecommerce software. We duplicated the current design of Rare Device, set it up with CKGold, and imported the data from the existing shop.

We also added some new features and brushed up some old ones. A shop landing page was created that features news, a featured item, a lookbook item, and the newest item in the shop. We created a lookbook category with a different layout to allow Rena to showcase a photo and list the products featured in it below. A blog was added as part of the site and the most recent post displays on the main page. To keep the site looking fresh, we made the content dynamic on most pages, where different featured items load on each page visit.

We tried to automate as much of the work Rena was doing with her old shop to decrease the time it takes to update the site, manage inventory, charge credit cards, and ship orders. The new system should make things run much more smoothly!

Consistently wowed

"For eight years, I wore many hats in the Web design business and trusted no one's work but my own. After starting and growing my retail store, I found I was too busy to take care of my website myself, and with much nervousness, I decided to try and find someone to help me take my site to the next level. I noticed that all the sites I liked were by Aeolidia. In short order, I hired them and was consistently wowed by Arianne and the team through the entire process. Aeolidia handled the smoothest site implementation and conversion that I have *ever* been a part of. Tiny details were addressed, useful suggestions made and all questions answered in a timely and professional manner. Arianne deserves sainthood for her patience and I am sure to defer to her expertise in the future."
