Hello, I'm Jill. I've been working as an independent artist and designer since 2001. I adore meticulous lines and attention to natural details, which comes from my farmlife childhood in Northern California and many hours romping around the orchards and fields closely inspecting the plants and animals around me on a daily basis. I also love sparse-yet-dense color and design, which stems from my urban adulthood spent in New York, at Parsons School of Design, and San Francisco, at California College of the Arts. In ten years between the two coasts I picked up three distinct academic and professional backgrounds that I now use on a daily basis in my studio here in Portland: fashion design, illustration and design theory.
