Are you looking to hire a Shopify designer? We’re your team! Here is a quick peek at our clients’ recent launches, and at what we’re working on this fall. These motivated creative businesses include: two clothing designers, four stationery designers, two party shops, four gift and jewelry shops, a bath & body brand, a toy designer, a dog apparel brand, a planner by an author and blogger, a craft fair, and a sewing studio.

It is such an honor and a delight to be able to work with such creative, ambitious, and dedicated business owners. I think you’ll like them, too!

We will write about these projects in more detail in the upcoming weeks, but for now, I wanted to give you the rundown of what work we’ve finished and what we’re beginning now.

These ones are totally done!

Design block four at Aeolidia has wrapped up, and block five is underway. Some of our logo clients from block 3 are having a website built, and the others are new to us this block. I’d like to show off the inspiring brands that are ready to put their plans into action and achieve their goals now! Here are the projects we’ve recently completed:

Miss Sister Rose Violet

Client: Yasmin Kerkez
Project: Custom Shopify website, copywriting, marketing consultation

Status: Project complete, website launched! Visit: Miss Rose Sister Violet

The whole Aeolidia team were a pleasure to work with, and we feel totally ready for the next step for our business! Every step of the project, from copywriting to photography to design and development was so organized and understandable – we had such a great experience!

We were happy beyond words to have a designer on board who “GETS US!!!” It can be so hard to find kindred spirits – it is truly the greatest gift. I can’t tell you how impressed I am and how happy with the design of the site. I still can not believe that this is OURS. It’s gorgeous and it’s REAL and it looks so beautiful and professional… and it blows me away.

The design process was so exciting, because they KNEW what was needed and how it all works, and it’s everything we wanted to know, and wanted to be guided towards… I just wanted to scoop Sarah up and carry her around in my pocket!

I’m grateful for all the tech help and replies too – our developer’s help and guidance was invaluable. All his notes were so helpful and easy to follow – and have made my work so much happier and stress free.

So impressed! Aeolidia is a team of angels.

Emily McDowell’s new website designed by Aeolidia

Client: Emily McDowell
Project: Custom Shopify website

Status: Project complete, website launched! Visit: Emily McDowell

We were thrilled to work with the Emily McDowell team on a new custom website! Our goals for this project were to:

  • update the aesthetic of the product pages (more visual, highlight the products, optimize for SEO)
  • optimize the responsive versions of the site
  • increase conversion rate by updating the user experience (use action colors for buttons, funnel customers to the shopping cart, etc.)
  • move the existing blog from WordPress to Shopify to keep customers engaged with the shop

The final result is a fun, colorful – and functional new website which highlights what we all love and relate to in Emily’s work.

Sunshine Parties finally has its very own online store! Naturally, we celebrated with cake. And tea. And sparkly pink candles. That’s how we roll. We couldn’t have chosen a better company to help us level up from Etsy and our blog to a single online home. We can now easily sell digital stationery and printable party decorations from Shopify. A big thank you to our web team at Aeolidia for the most streamlined process and professional service ever! Super slick. Thank you for everything!!

These ones have moved to the next phase

We were hard at work on these projects on block 4, and now we’re moving right along with the next step through Fall.

Client: Cathy Zwicker and Torie Nguyen

Project: Custom Shopify website, copywriting
Current site: Crafty Wonderland (new site scheduled to launch in 2017)

Status: Site designed and will be in development in early 2017

Crafty Wonderland is a brick and mortar retail shop in downtown Portland as well as a twice yearly large scale art + craft market that happens at the Oregon Convention Center. The shop is unique in that it only sells goods made by Portland artists – currently about 200 artists are represented. The Art + Craft Market has about 250+ artists from all over the country that set up and sell their goods directly to the public.

The new design by Christine on our team design highlights *all* the facets of Crafty Wonderland— Now, customers will be able to learn more about the events that are coming up, visit the brick & mortar store, and make purchases of Portland made goods once they’ve left the fine city of Portland. This one is good!!

Current site: Petit Collage (new site scheduled to launch November 11)

Status: Site designed and in development

Petit Collage is a modern kids’ toys, gifts and decor company. When presenting the initial design concept, Christine told Lorena:

I’ve been a fan of Petit Collage for ages, but it was fun to delve deeper and see how it’s evolved beyond those first art prints and into a lifestyle brand. I wanted to create a homepage that shows off your vast selection of modern, eco-friendly products, and makes it easy for customers to make a purchase. Your brand story is told through an airy layout, bright photography, pops of color, and rich functionality.

Client: Neesha Merani
Project: Brand Identity and Product Presentation DesignCustom Shopify website

Status: Site designed and in development

Before we began work on this project, Neesha told us:

My site should be clearly obvious its for stylish moms +  her creative kids. And not just any mom, but one who has an eye for design and creativity. She appreciates unique and whimsical items. It should be extremely easy to navigate and find what she’s looking for. The Brand Story should come through every part of the site, from the copy, logo, colors, photography, videos…etc..

I’ve seen the logo and website design and can’t wait to show you how well the new custom site tells the story of PaperWand!

At the start of this project, Amy told us:

We’re coming up on 5th year in business, and have doubled sales each each for the past three years; we’d really like a website that gets our customer in and out quicker.

Our main focus in redesigning the June & January website was to create a fantastic mobile shopping experience for customers – we are all looking forward to showing you the new, streamlined website soon!

Client: Sierra Zamarripa
Project: Custom Shopify website, copywriting, trademark registration
Current site: Lovewild (new site scheduled to launch November 18)

Status: Site designed and in development

We met Sierra at NSS and fell in love with her charming line of products – it’s been so much fun to watch our team create a website for Lovewild Design that will be equally charming! When Do-Hee on our team showed Sierra the initial concept, she told her:

Your products all have a very tactile, natural, handmade, high quality to them — all with a lot of personality — and I wanted the website design to reflect and showcase those strengths.

While the website is digital, I brought in analog-inspired elements to complement your handmade practice and products. From the earthy color palette, to the subtle deckled edge details, to your hand drawn botanical illustrations, the design details emphasize the natural aspect of Lovewild Design. When customers come to your website, they immediately see and experience the warmth and quality of your brand and products.

Gather Here

Client: Virginia Johnson and Noah Dubreuil
Project: Custom Shopify website, copywriting
Current site: Gather Here (new site scheduled to launch November 18)

Status: Site designed and in development

Gather Here is a fabric, yarn, sewing machine, and notions boutique offering classes, an inspirational work space, and knowledgeable instructors. When customers visit the brick and mortar shop, they fall in love! And our goal for this project was to create a website that would also draw customers in. Brooke on our team created a warm, inviting new website design for the business and we are looking forward to introducing you to the new site this Fall.

These ones have just begun

Looking forward to block 5, I’m thrilled to introduce you to these inspiring businesses. See where they’re at now, and check back with us in a couple of months to see their transformations!

Harvest Paper Co.

Client: Sam Bearbower
Project: Business name brainstormingBrand Identity and Product Presentation Design, trademark registration
Current site: Harvest Paper Co.

We worked with Sam last year to create a custom website design for her business. This fall, there is an exciting rebranding underway – we just finalized the new business name and are working on a new logo and brand identity now. I can’t wait to show you Sam’s new brand and new look!

YAYA

Client: Alon Abadi
Project: Custom Shopify website, copywriting, Marketing, SEO
Current site: YAYA (new site scheduled to launch in 2017)

YAYA is an Israeli-based family-run jewelry design label launched in September 2015 by Yael Yanay and Alon Abadi. The brand name is inspired by Yael and Alon’s initials  – as a true family business, YAYA’s studio is located in Yael and Alon’s backyard. Instead of entering a crowded jewelry market, YAYA strategically chose to position itself within the gift market, offering consumers jewelry as an ideal personalized gift solution.

Mafu

Client: Bonnie Juma
Project: Brand Identity and Product Presentation Design, Packaging
Current site: BJ Naturals

I envision my products being sold at Spas, Anthropologie, Lifestyle boutiques, and maybe Whole foods, other Health food Stores, etc. How will I know I’ve achieved what I hope for? My customers (and I) will LOVE the packaging; so will retailers attending markets in search of new products, and I will have expanded my sales into these areas.

Living Well Spending Less

Client: Ruth Soukup
Project: Custom Shopify website, copywriting, Photography, SEO
Current site: Living Well Spending Less (new site scheduled to launch in 2017)

I’ve learned a lot along the way about business and online retailing, but I know there is still a LOT to learn. When it comes to our online shop, there is still much room for improvement in terms of look and functionality, and I would love to see a beautiful shopify site and sales page that reflects just how awesome our planner really is.

Push Pushi

Client: Feri Bijan
Project: Brand Identity and Product Presentation DesignCustom Shopify websitecopywriting, Marketing
Current site: Push Pushi (new site scheduled to launch in 2017)

My goal is to have more site visitors, and also get the attention of distributors and wholesalers.

Feri created a smart solution for pets, and we are looking forward to relaunching her brand with a new identity, and a smart, functional ecommerce website.

Handmade Sam*Made

Client: Samantha Leung
Project: Business name brainstormingBrand Identity and Product Presentation Design, trademark registration
Current site: Handmade Sam*Made

I have a modern and minimalist style with a strong Scandinavian influence in everything that I do. From my photographs, my branding, my aesthetic is clean, geometric, and calming.

I would love a new logo, a new name, as well as a master list of fonts and colors that I can draw from when creating new marketing materials or helping to add to my identity.

Dani Barbe

Client: Dani Barbe
Project: Brand IdentityCustom Shopify websitecopywriting
Current site: Dani Barbe

One of the main goals is ease of use. I would love to be able to easily update the products on my website and inform my customers… I know that’s not a lot to ask, but after using WooCommerce, I am scarred! I need people to have confidence in my brand and trust that my website is well functioning and secure enough to make purchases.

Do any of these hard working business owners sound like you?

Your small but fast growing business is perfectly poised to make a big splash in online retail, and that’s exactly where Aeolidia loves to meet you. Our work is strategic, completely custom, and entirely goals-based. We like to get involved when we know our work can be transformative and cause exponential growth.

If you’re ready to move forward with your business, and to invest in some outside help, we would love to be your team. If you email today, we can get you into block 1 of 2017. Block 1, you ask?

Tell me more about this block system

Aeolidia schedules projects in a block system. This means that we have set up discrete blocks throughout the year, and all projects start at the same time, and launch by the same time. When you work with us, the block system will mean these things to you:

  1. You will know exactly when you will launch, and your launch date is guaranteed
  2. Your launch date will be strategic, based on your business’ important sales season

Each block is two months long, and you will be working with either a designer or a developer during a single block.

  • A logo takes one block.
  • A website design takes one block.
  • Developing that website takes one block.

So each of our clients will need 1-3 blocks (2-6 months) to complete their project.

Here are our blocks for 2017:

  • Block 1: January 2 – February 24
  • Block 2: February 27 – April 21
  • Block 3: March 24 – June 16
  • Block 4: June 19 – August 18
  • Block 5: August 21 – October 13
  • Block 6: October 16 – December 15

When should you get started? We’d be glad to discuss that with you in detail, but a rough guideline is:

Want a custom website created in time for the National Stationery Show in May? As long as you have a logo ready, we can design your website in block 1 and develop it in block 2 for an April 21st launch.

Need an impressive brand identity and compelling website for wholesalers to shop from by the NY NOW summer show next year? Get your logo designed in block 2, your website designed in block 3, and we’ll build it for you in block 4, in time to head to New York in August.

Planning to have everything ready for the holiday sales season? You’ll want to get started by block 3, in March. If you don’t need a logo, you could start in block 4, in June.

We book up early, and are glad to book you up to 18 months in advance. When we do that, you lock in our current prices. Please let me know if you’d be interested in telling us more about your retail goals and objectives so we can put together a custom proposal for you. If so, I have a wonderful questionnaire for you to fill out.
