I’ve been saving this one, and now here it is. The last of the print series emails. This one is the most important part of the welcome kit that we send to our clients. It is a pocket folder that includes our gold foil print manifesto for clients to hang, display, or pin to their inspiration board. It has a set of cards that explain what we’re about and how things will work. It’s all perfectly packed up and branded, and is a great example of what the branding work we do for our clients can be used to accomplish.
In my email about this, I’m going to share the writing and design decisions that went into our manifesto, explain how the die cutting worked with our printer (and how we saved some money on these custom die cuts), and what makes this package so special.
I also explain the tools I use to assemble it.
Want to make your own business materials beautiful?
I’m sending out an email tomorrow with design tips and tricks, decisions we made, and my print sources for:
- Pocket folders
- Manifesto: gold foil, die cut postcard printing
- Inner cards: die cut and metallic gold ink printing
- Business cards: duplexed, gold foil, silkscreen printing
- Rubber seal stamp
- Metallic gold ink
- Folder belly band
- Mounting corners for manifesto
Sourcing printers and packaging suppliers
I would like to share which printers and manufacturers we worked with to produce our marketing materials and packaging. In this many-part series, I am also going to tell you about:
- any problems I had with printers
- how we saved money when we could
- where and why we splurged.
- what I learned through the process (there were some mistakes!),
- what I would do differently
People are always asking me for print and packaging sources, and this is proving to be a popular series! This information is going out to my newsletter subscribers only, and I will write once a month throughout 2016 about each part of our packages in detail.
Sign up for our print series here! The most recent post went out last month and is about our custom ballpoint pen sets – you’ll get a link to that post in tomorrow’s email, which will have all the details about our manifesto and welcome folder. I’ll be sharing the clever way we made it clear that the manifesto was meant to be a keepsake. Are you ready to make your brand beautiful?

We were used to doing everything ourselves. Letting go and trusting was not easy. But we could not be more happy with the results. The site looks so great. The project was completed right on schedule. The branding work has proved very useful. Shopify itself exceeded our expectations.
